What are Open Educational Resources?
According to the UNESCO definition, Open Educational Resources (OER) are "learning, teaching and research materials in any format and medium that reside in the public domain or are under copyright that have been released under an open license, that permit no-cost access, re-use, re-purpose, adaptation and redistribution by others". In terms of the use of Creative Commons licenses, OER are therefore licensed with CC BY, CC BY-SA or CC 0.
The University of Graz recommends that its staff and students use, create and publish Open Educational Resources (OER) and supports them in these activities with services, training programs and information material.
